What was the casting process like for you?
I’ve been applying to Survivor for over 10 years, and a couple times I almost lost hope. But I’m finally here, and IT STARTS RIGHT NOW!

Is there any advice you’ll take into the game?
I had a beloved mentor once tell me, just Smile & Move, Chris. That sums it all up for me. Thank you, Sam, wherever you are.

What’s one thing you love about Survivor?
I love the strategic element, how players are forced to weigh their morals and integrity against what might benefit their game. Just call me Faustian Rob.

How do you plan to play on Survivor?
I’ll be an agent of chaos, sowing little seeds that ultimately shape the game. The Rippel Effect is real - get ready for it.

How did your childhood prepare you for Survivor?
When the family dog died when I was a kid, my mom kept it in its kennel and even had my brother pet it. That turned me into the stone-cold schemer I am today.

What’s one thing that will help you in Survivor?
Being a UVA fan, I’m very accustomed to struggling through pain. 26 days is nothing compared to every football season.

I’m vegetarian, so a few weeks of coconuts and rice is no sweat. And I’m a jewelry maker, so if you find an idol and think it’s real…

Why did you apply for Survivor?
After 2 years in the Peace Corps and 9 years of post-college education, I thought Survivor would be a great way to get out and enjoy the real world!
